How "natural" are your candles?
I use an all-natural wax created from beeswax, palm trees and soybeans. The wick is a braided, untreated
cotton. I use only plant-derived additives - no animal products - and eco-friendly dyes. The fragrance oils in the highly scented candles are synthetic. Choose the
essential oil version if you prefer the most natural candle possible.
What are your shipping policies?
I ship everything via Priority Mail, so your candles should arrive in 2-3 days.
During the summer months (May - September), I only ship candles on Mondays, Tuesdays and
Wednesdays. This is to ensure that your candles do not sit on a hot truck over a
weekend. I highly recommend you pay the additional cost for shipping insurance, and
specify "Signature Confirmation." This way the delivery person will not leave your candles
at your door or in your mailbox. I can not be held responsible for candles
damaged during shipping - they leave me in pristine condition, and I package them securely
so they arrive the same way.
How do you figure the shipping costs?
I charge only actual shipping costs from me to you, plus a maximum of
$.50 for the materials, if applicable.
I will always package your candles to give you the most cost-effective
shipping option possible. As an example, I can fit 5-10 pillar candles in a Flat Rate Priority Mail box,
which is $8.10 to ship anywhere in the country.
Do you accept any payment options other than PayPal?
Feel free to contact me if you would prefer to pay by
money order or personal check (shipping will be delayed until funds are received).
What is an essential oil?
Essential oils are the highly concentrated essence of a plant. The oils can be extracted from different
parts of the plant, including flowers, twigs, leaves, bark, or in the rind of fruits.
For example, in roses the flower petals are used, basil oil uses the leaves, in sandalwood it is from the wood,
and so on. A large quantity of plant material is required to produce a very small amount of its
essential oil, which is why they can be very expensive. They are also extremely potent - generally only a few drops
are necessary to release a large amount of scent.
How do I use this little bottle of essential oil?
Light your candle and let it burn for a while, until a small pool of wax has melted. The bottle has
an orifice reducer on it, which only releases one drop of oil at a time. Add a drop or two of oil into
the melted wax (you may feel more comfortable snuffing out the flame while you do this, and re-lighting when
you are done). The candle acts as a diffuser, releasing the scent throughout the room. You can experiment to
see what level of scent suits your purpose.
An alternative method is to add the oil after you snuff the candle when you are finished burning - when
you light it the next time, the oil is all ready to be released.

I would love to hear your suggestion! Please email me your idea,
and I will see if it's something I can do.
